I have created a 55 page Key Stage 3 dance theory booklet to allow non participants to access the dance curriculum. Very detailed and creative. Can be used to embed key vocabulary and includes a variety of tasks to keep students entertained. This booklet has been received successfully by all students in dance at my school and helps to engage those students who hold a barrier up against dance. Content will also be useful if students choose to opt for dance with key knowledge

I have a key stage 3 scheme of work for dance, AFRICAN DANCE that we use for Year 8 at our school. The power point presentation is complete for 7 weeks worth of lessons and I also use it as my lesson plan.

A non participant activity sheet under the theme of Michael Jackson, engages students who are not practically joining in the lesson.

I have a key stage 3 scheme of work for dance, Michael Jackson that we use for Year 7 at our school. The power point presentation is complete for 6 weeks worth of lessons and I also use it as my lesson plan.

I have created a power point presentation for the unit Urban Dance that I teach to my year 8 students. I use this as my planning also. The unit involves students: learning and performing a set motif choreographed by the teacher, group choreography, self and peer assessment, with a performance at the end of the unit for assessment. Performance skills are included alongside basic urban dance skills. This resource could also be used remotely if the teacher posts a video of their motif for students to learn, student can choreograph a solo to add and then submit a self assessment form afterwards. Students could also video themselves and send it to a friend for peer assessment and complete a PA as well.

I have created a student activity booklet that feeds information into the assessment booklet that is sent off for assessment. This booklet is based on West Side Story. My students found this easy to follow alongside the power points.

Students who are not participating practically can report on the lesson they are witnessing or on a previous lesson in the form of a news paper article. This is used to keep students engaged and focused on the lesson in hand.
